Webshop products are sold by the City of Tampere (Business ID 0211675-2)
Registration and personal information
Ordering from the webshop does not require registration. By registering, you can make future purchases faster and view any past orders you have placed. Your username is the e-mail address provided during registration, and you will choose your own password when registering. Your username and password are personal. The customer is responsible for maintaining their username and password, and for ensuring that they do not end up in the hands of third parties. The customer can change the e-mail address serving as their username by logging in and visiting the webshop’s My Account page. The customer is responsible for all use of their account and password, and any costs or fees that may be incurred as a result.
The customer must provide all necessary information required by the webshop for its use. The City of Tampere has the right to process the customer’s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other legislation. The customer’s information is stored in the webshop’s customer register.
Ordering
Products are mainly ordered through the Internet at https://shop.tampere.fi/tremuseo/ via the shopping cart. All orders are confirmed by e-mail, stating the price of the order and the products ordered. To receive an order confirmation, you must provide an email address when placing the order. The customer consents to the webshop’s current terms of use and delivery in connection with each order, as well as any special terms and conditions concerning the products ordered.
Products from the Tampere Museum Centre Webshop are mailed to several countries, these being: Albania, Andorra, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Spain, South Korea, Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Japan, Canada, China, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus , Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, North Macedonia, Portugal, Poland, France, Romania, Sweden, Germany, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Switzerland, Taiwan, Denmark, Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Vatican City, United Kingdom, United States.
Payment methods
Products are paid for when ordering. Online payments are made through a secure connection via the Suomi.fi/Paytrail service. The service includes the Finnish banks’ online payment and card payment service.
Prices and VAT
The price of orders made from the webshop is in line with current product prices displayed in the webshop at the time of purchase. Webshop prices may differ from those of other stores. We reserve the right to change prices. All prices are displayed in euros (EUR). Delivery costs are added to the price of the order, which are determined by the weight of the order.
The product prices displayed in the Tampere Museum Centre Webshop include the current VAT.
Delivery
The products will be delivered by mail to the delivery address provided by the customer when placing their order. If the delivery does not correspond with the order, or the delivery has suffered transport or other damage, a written notice must be made immediately to the address provided in the order confirmation. The notice must be made within seven days of receipt of the order.
Delivery time and method
If the product is in our warehouse, the product will be sent within 2-7 working days of registering the order in our system. Products are delivered by mail.
Returns and exchanges
The customer has the right to return unused products in their original packaging within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the products. The customer must notify the museum shop’s customer service of their intent to return before sending the products. Returning from Finland is free of charge for the customer. Customers can return products directly to the Vapriikki museum shop or by post.
Each shipment is accompanied by instructions for return. The price of returned products will be refunded as soon as we have received and checked the returned product.
If the order is damaged during transport or is otherwise defective, the customer must immediately contact the museum shop’s customer service to arrange for the delivery of a new product or cancellation of the order.
Return instructions
Notify us of your return by e-mail to museokauppa@tampere.fi. Let us know if you would only like to return some of the products or the entire order. Please also provide your order number, name, address, and telephone number. Thank you!

Hardware, software, and connections
The customer is responsible for the acquisition, operation, and costs of the equipment, software, and network connections required to use the webshop. They must not cause interference or other harm to the webshop or other network users.
Liability for damages
The City of Tampere is liable to the customer only for any direct damages that it has negligently caused by violating the contract. If it can be determined that the City of Tampere is at fault, the customer can be reimbursed for the costs unduly charged to the customer by the webshop.
Force majeure
The Tampere Museum Centre Webshop is not responsible for force majeure or delays beyond the control of the webshop. A force majeure is considered to be e.g. a fire, a strike or other work stoppage, an official order, a disruption in the supply of energy, a shortage of raw materials or supplies, a cable or other communication disruption caused by or due to a third party, or any other similar event which was not known and could not reasonably have been foreseen. Tampere museums will announce a force majeure on the webshop’s web pages as soon as it has become apparent, if it is possible to report it.
Resolving disputes
We aim to primarily resolve any contractual disagreements through negotiations between the two parties. If no agreement is reached in the negotiations, the matter will be left to the Pirkanmaa District Court to resolve in accordance with Finnish law.
