Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the Tampere Museum Centre Webshop https://shop.tampere.fi/ and it has been updated on May 24, 2021.

Web accessibility refers to the level of ease people with different abilities can access and use website content, applications and social media content.

This website follows the Finnish  Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019),  which is based on the EU’s Web Accessibility Directive 2016/2102.  According to their requirements, public sector websites need to be accessible to a certain standard.

Tampere Museum Centre aims to provide digital services that meet the accessibility requirements of the Digital Services Act and the EU Directive.

Fulfilment of requirements

This website is mostly compliant with the WCAG 2.1 A and AA standards.

Non-accessible content

1.4.3 Colour contrast is insufficient

Specific issue

Museum Centre Vapriikki’s site contains white text on red background and vice versa which doesn’t meet the 4,5:1 minimum contrast ratio requirement.

2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)

Specific issue

The same link text is used for links going to different destinations.

There are identical link texts in the main navigation, breadcrumb and product tags.
